Shrook v2.52
I'm currently busy working on Shrook 3, so this really just a maintenance release that fixes a few annoying aspects of Shrook 2:Download it from the Shrook page.
- The search box now switches mode automatically. Click the Library, and it will switch to searching channels. Click a channel, and it'll switch to searching items within that channel.
- The "Remove groups?" warning dialog has been reworded and now includes a list of affected groups. I also fixed a bug that meant it would appear at the wrong time.
- New menu option to make Shrook the default feed reader, which saves you trudging over to Safari's preferences.
- I removed some non-functioning items from the web view contextual menu.
- Made synchronizing the read/unread status of items slightly more reliable.

I can't catch the point about the "buy Shrook" button on the left of the search field, for clicking it just brings me to a page
where I'd realize Shrook is now freeware, just in case I didn't know it already!-- Giovanni De Stefano, September 20th, 2006 10:37 AM.
Sorry, that's a mistake. I've pushed out a tiny update to get rid of it.-- Graham, September 20th, 2006 7:38 PM.

I'm returning to the Shrook fold, after dalliances with Safari and Google offerings:http://www.i-together.net/weaverluke/2006/09/google-reader-lurches-forward.html
Mea culpa! And it just shows that gazillions of dollars and free massages don't necessarily make for a better product than that of a focused and intelligent lone developer... ; )
One bug, though, is that some feeds imported from Google Reader are showing up in duplicate or triplicate in the imported group's view (not in other views).
Perhaps Shrook is finding all available feeds for each blog or something? Anyhow, it looks like a bug to a casual user.
